Motion Blur
the effect seen on fast moving objects; they start to blur and loose details when they move too fast for the eye to catch everything.

Conventional renderers would just blur the object in the final image, but this leads to some limitations in the use of this effect.
Advanced Renderers (such as the one used by MadTom Productions) use a more sofisticated way of calculating motion blurs. They so allow slower or faster (non or less/more blured) objects to pass in front of the blured object and cast correct shadows onto it.
